EOWA is the creation of UK-based multi-instrumentalist Kris Mayers, forged in 2022 in the windswept isolation of High Peak. Blending the cold atmosphere of melodic black metal with the weight of death, groove, thrash and doom influences, the project carves a sound both visceral and haunting.
The debut album, first self-released in 2023, has been reborn through a full remix and remaster for its 2025 release on Matriarch Records. With a second full-length already taking shape, EOWA continues its relentless march into darker, heavier and more interesting territory.
